Nous avons le plaisir de vous annoncer le lancement d’une initiative pilote conjointe du PACTT et du Service de la recherche (SR), destinée à soutenir la préparation de propositions pour les instruments de financement compétitifs suivants :

• Projets Innosuisse sans partenaire de mise en œuvre (“implementation partner”)
• BRIDGE Discovery
• BRIDGE Proof-of-Concept

Ce programme a pour objectif d’augmenter les chances de succès des soumissions en proposant un retour d’expert ciblé sur la section « mise en œuvre » des demandes – une composante souvent décisive dans l’évaluation des dossiers.

Le pilote est ouvert jusqu’à fin juin 2025 et bénéficie du précieux soutien du Dr Emmanuel Delamarche, expert invité au PACTT et au SR. Le Dr Emmanuel Delamarche apporte une longue expérience dans le financement de la recherche et la révision des demandes de subvention, y compris en tant que membre du jury pour les programmes de recherche de l’Union européenne.

Ce service est proposé gratuitement dans le cadre de cette phase pilote, selon le principe du premier arrivé, premier servi. Nous encourageons vivement les chercheuses et chercheurs intéressé·es à nous contacter dès le début de leur processus de candidature. Veuillez noter que, selon la demande, nous ne pourrons peut-être pas répondre à toutes les sollicitations, en particulier celles transmises à l’approche des délais de soumission.

Nous espérons que cette initiative contribuera à renforcer la qualité des propositions et à améliorer les résultats de nos chercheuses et chercheurs.

Le PACTT organise des formations pour répondre aux questions des chercheur·euses concernant le droit d’auteur. Dans le cadre des formations proposées par le Service de la recherche, le PACTT a eu le plaisir d’animer une première session à destination des chercheur·euses du CHUV et de l’UNIL, lors d’un atelier consacré au droit d’auteur, aux logiciels, ainsi qu’aux différences légales entre les licences open source.

Un grand merci au Dr Jonas Richiardi, Principal Investigator et Senior Lecturer au Département de radiologie, qui a brillamment illustré comment mettre en pratique des stratégies open source dans le domaine de la recherche.

The 25th anniversary of PACTT will be celebrated on May 14, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the new auditorium in building SE-C on the Biopôle Campus.

For this occasion, we are organizing a Valorisation Award which will be presented during the event for an innovative project from UNIL or CHUV researchers.

1. Eligibility

• You are a researcher or staff member at UNIL or CHUV.
• You are involved in an innovative project related to applied research, entrepreneurship, or improvements in academic or medical practices.

2. Evaluation criteria

• Innovative: Your idea must be original. Projects may be ongoing but must not be finalized.
• Impactful: Your project should contribute to society, the environment, or sectors beyond academia.
• Feasible: Your project should be realistic in scope and timeline, with available resources. Prototypes or proof-of-concept are a plus.
• Viable: Your project should have potential for long-term sustainability (e.g., through commercialization or public investment).

3. Process

• Submit your application by April 10, 2025, by filling out the form “Valorisation Award_Application” available.
• If your project is pre-selected, you will be invited to prepare a presentation (max 7 slides), including:

1. The problem you aim to solve
2. The project’s impact (who and how many are affected)
3. Your proposed solution and its potential for generating intellectual property
4. How you will develop your results into a product or service
5. A brief competitive analysis
6. Your strategy for reaching target users and ensuring project viability

A Jury of experts will select the best projects based on the evaluation criteria.
• If your project is selected, you will pitch it during the event.

4. Rewards

• A CHF 2’000 award to support the development of your project
• 10 hours of coaching to help you secure additional funding

You are a UNIL-CHUV researcher who would like to create a start-up and need a financial support to start? Apply for a one-year InnoTREK grant of CHF 100’000.- to launch your project!

Applications for the InnoTREK grant can be submitted throughout the year 2025 to PACTT, the UNIL-CHUV Technology Transfer Office.

Project selection will take place in the spring and autumn (with deadlines on April 30, 2025, and October 8, 2025).

The InnoTREK grant is designed for any innovative project with economic potential and/or societal impact:

• Related to a technological innovation, or
• In digital health, requiring clinical trials or involving a significant regulatory component.
